This Easter Sunday marked the conclusion of a wonderful visit from Dan's family. It zoomed by way too fast and though they were here for only 4 1/2 days or so, it seems like we really packed it in.
There was our trip to the Galleria and the beach and the last couple swimming lessons. I think there will have to be a few subsequent posts because I got a lot of good pictures.
I did finish the Easter dress. Here is the original finished product. I really wanted the ribbon at the waist but then it didn't turn out like I planned.
So here is the real finished product,
Luke looked snazzy in his little white jacket.
On Saturday we dyed eggs,
and hunted for baskets and eggs,
and celebrated some birthdays with a spaghetti dinner and cupcakes,
Also this weekend, right down the street, was the Regional Robotics Competition. We paid it a visit and were not disappointed.
I'm not sure I ever knew exactly what the objective was, but it looked like they were in a bit of a race and trying to get those balls down and across a goal line. Whatever they were doing it was fun to watch, as were the high school kids in attendance who obviously worked hard on their robots and were really really smart robot-building type people.
Mama Linda got Ava a couple of presents- A Clifford book she wanted read to her over and over and over and Lip Smackers "snipstick" (cross between lipstick and chapstick) that was a huge hit.
Can you tell
It was/is a BIG hit.
Luke got a little music player that both he and Ava think is awesome.
This past week he got the hang of sitting up from a crawling position and got braver about pulling up on the furniture. Only problem is he just is not that stable. He can get himself up but then wiggles and waggles and makes me feel like he's gonna tip at any minute. When he pulls up to something, I feel the need to drop what I'm doing and be a spotter. I see some spills in the near future.
So stayed tuned this week for the Swim Lesson Wrap Up, The Beach, and How Does Your Garden Grow?
And in case the length of this post didn't clue you in to how much we enjoyed having family in town,
we really, really, really loved it.
Love you guys!
Love you guys!

It was such a good trip! Thanks for letting me sleep on the futon. I'll have to try and not wear my Limozeen shirt in all your pictures.
I look like the joker from Batman in that first pic. Creeepy. Ha!
