Beach 2012

Turns out we went to the beach almost the exact same dates as last year.

We stayed in the same condo,

The kids even wore the same swimsuits,

I started and finished a book so that means we had just the right combination of splashing, sandcastles, and relaxing.

We are always amazed at how empty the beach is down there.  It's like a hidden secret.

Way less crowded and less seaweed than Galveston.

My parents stayed with us again too, and that is always fun.

We hit La Kings candy store again.

And I cheated so bad.  Caramel Tortue ice cream, salt water taffy, and a few of Max's Techno Gummy Bears.

I wish the only thing I suffered from was the resulting guilt, but my tummy didn't let me down.

We did shake things up a little and took a Dolphin Tour.

It wouldn't be a day unless Luke is wearing something backwards, in this case, his shirt.

The tour was much more exciting than I make it seem in this picture.

We took a boat out into the bay,

past the pristine and picturesque Texas shoreline views,

 and saw dolphins.

Lots of dolphins.

And there was something a little neater about seeing them swimming free as compared to the ones we petted at Sea World a few months ago.

Back at the beach, Max made a friend.

After a while, the owner said, "That boy needs a lab!"

Add a "doodle" and give us a few months and she might be right!

The evening hours are always the best beach hours.

We are already looking forward to our next visit.

For those relegated to the beaches of Texas who want more than Galveston has to offer,

hit me up and I will gladly share the contact info for our condo.  Just don't tell anyone else because I want it to always look like this.
