Ten Months and A Week

Max is 10 months old today! Ridiculous! Everybody says it, but I really cannot believe how fast the time has gone.

He is a fast little mover now. He loves to eat and eat and eat. And his 24 pounds of soft, chubby body mass are evidence of that.

The other kids, especially Luke are still not quite happy about his mobility. And Luke is one of Max's favorite things. It drives Luke batty.

And highly anticipated I'm sure, the results are in. After a full week of school and one really bad day in the middle, kindergarten is:

Not too bad and not too good.

She wakes in the morning anxious and nervous for the day. She worries about getting to the right place and finding her class. Somebody has apparently helped the past few days, but not before she is lost and worried.

But when she gets off the bus in the afternoon, she reports that her day was, "Great!"

She is hot and exhausted and hyper. She sometimes borders on wild for the rest of the evening.

All relatively typical for many kids in the same scenario.

But, even though she worries and worries and worries some more, even though she is scared, she's doing it. She is doing all that we're asking of her and she's doing it pretty darn well. And that more than any other thing makes me so proud.
