And I can't take one child's birthday pictures while the previous child's remains undone.
Today was Finny's day.
The other day he came to me and said,
"Big."
"Big?" I replied.
"Big." he confirmed
"Big?" I asked again, hoping to gain some insight into what he wanted to say.
"Big...what?" I asked
"Big. Pay. Football." was his reply this time.
"When you get big, you want to play football?"
"Yesssssss." he said and went on his way.
He desperately wants to do all of the same things the other kids do.
But I refuse to let him grow up any faster than absolutely necessary.
I'd have no problem waving goodbye to his crazy tantrums.
But right now, his little laugh and "I you, Mommy"'s are balm on my slightly exhausted mother heart.
